There’s something extra special about photographing families with little ones. They keep everyone laughing, bring the sweetest unexpected moments, and remind us that the best memories usually aren’t the perfectly posed ones.
This sweet family met me at St. Andrews State Park for a sunset session during their time in Panama City Beach, and their little boy was full of personality from the very beginning. He wanted to explore, play, and stay on the move — which is exactly how sessions with young children should be.
I always tell parents not to stress about getting kids to stand still or smile on command. Some of the most meaningful images come from the in-between moments — little hands reaching up, giggles while being chased, cuddles in between running, and the way your child naturally looks at you.
That’s why I love photographing families this season of life exactly as they are.
St. Andrews State Park is one of my favorite places for family photos because it gives us space to move, beautiful soft light at sunset, and such a timeless beach backdrop. It’s the perfect place to let kids be kids while we create something beautiful together.
If you’re visiting Panama City Beach and considering family photos, know that your session doesn’t need to feel stiff or stressful. We’ll keep it easy, playful, and centered around real connection.
Those are the photos that mean the most years from now.
