What is the best time of day to get beach photos?
It depends on the look you're going for, but I highly recommend booking within 1.5 hours of sunset for the best light.
If you're going for a light and bright feel, aim for the beginning of golden hour—usually starting about an hour before sunset. The soft, even lighting is flattering and dreamy.
If you're drawn to those warm sunset vibes, the last 15–20 minutes before the sun dips below the horizon are perfect for those golden, glowing shots.

What should we wear to our session?
For beach sessions, I recommend soft, neutral tones (like cream, tan, white, dusty blue, or sage) and avoiding bold patterns or logos that can distract from the connection between you and your loved ones. Flowy dresses, linen, and light layers photograph beautifully in natural light and ocean breeze.
The most important thing is to choose outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable. If you're booking a family or extended family session, aim for coordinating colors rather than matching exactly. I am always happy to review your outfit choices ahead of time—just send me a few pics or a quick message!
Where do you offer beach sessions?
In Panama City Beach, I primarily shoot at two beautiful and convenient locations: St. Andrew’s State Park Pier and Public Beach Access 92. Both spots offer stunning backdrops with soft sand, gentle dunes, and that classic Gulf Coast glow. For clients booking along 30A, I offer sessions at Grayton Beach State Park, which is a favorite for its natural, untouched beauty.
If you're unsure which location is best for your session type, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to guide you based on lighting, tides, and the vibe you’re going for!
What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
Your experience matters to me, and I keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your session. If the weather isn’t cooperating—like heavy rain, lightning, or strong winds—I’ll reach out to reschedule your session for the next available time slot that works for you. Light clouds or overcast skies can actually be beautiful for photos, so I don’t automatically reschedule unless the weather truly impacts the quality or safety of your shoot. I’ll stay in close contact and make a call together about 1-2 hours before your scheduled time.
